Bad days, miracles, and TIMBUCTOO

Howdy yall! Welcome back to my crazy shenanigans, how are things going? Sorry it’s been a hot minute since you have heard from me. My life has been super crazy busy the past few weeks. But here is the rundown of the past 2 weeks.  So on Tuesday which would have been March 4th, I am going to be straight honest with you. This day was the hardest day of my mission, it was hard mentally. I often try to be a man and not let things get to me, but that day was hard and here is why it was so hard. So we had a lesson with Sheri who was on date to be baptized on the 8th. So we brought a member with us, and we did the lesson. We just went over the baptism interview questions and the laws and commandments. Super simple lesson, we got out of the lesson. And the member said “Elders, we need to chat”. I was okay like what's up? He said “Elders! That was terrible, that was the worst lesson I have ever heard, and I have heard lots of lessons!”. “Job well done Elder Bennett, you suck as a mis...

So I feel like I need to apologize to you for not writing the most entertaining email you receive on Mondays! But in all seriousness, sorry you haven't got an email from me. I have been super busy with missionary work, social media stuff, transfers, and moving. But Elder Johnson has been sick the past 3 days, so we have been home doing tons of social media work. So I figured I would write you a letter telling you about my past 3 weeks! So grab your soda of choice and let's ride through these shenanigans! So I am just gonna give you a review of the past 2 weeks and what we have done this week! So let's start with what has changed since we last talked. So we had transfers, and I am staying in Yuba city. Which is honestly surprising, because I was told at the start of my mission that I could only stay within 20 miles of the mission office to pick up my medication! So I always planned to serve in the south of my mission. But now I am serving God's Children in Yuba City wh...

Dreams coming true! Did you miss me?

Hey!!! Did you miss me? I hope not, but if you did welcome back to the best email known to all mankind. Okay, that might be saying alot…… but, it's pretty good. This week was pretty good, it was cold, wet, and windy. But enjoy as I tell you about my week. So on Mondays in the Yuba Zone we have all day p-days. Now allow me to explain why that is, so we have the feather river temple here in yuba city! And every monday morning missionaries in the zone get to go and clean the temple. So I was able to go and clean the temple, and I was super excited. So we went to the temple, and signed in and stuff. And a temple worker came up to me and asked if I was new to the zone, I said ya. He said Elder Bennett you carry yourself very well, and I am glad to have you here today. He then continued to ask me if I had any experience with doing yardwork/planting bushes. I said yeah I do, I have lots of experience. He said oh really? I was like yep! I had a lawncare business back home and I worked fo...

Monday, January 6, 2025   Howdy yall! I know it's been a hot minute since you last heard from me. My past few weeks have been crazy busy and I haven't had time to write one of these things. But to catch you up to speed. I am still alive (Obviously), still on the social media team, and I have hit a whole whopping drumroll please???????? 13 MONTHS!!!!! That's right, I have been a missionary for Jesus Christ for 13 months. And it has been a blast, I have learned so much. And I will be honest, it has been hard, now doing these long days isn’t hard for me. What's hard for me at least, is being away from my family, and it's even harder for me when I know that my home life is going so differently when I get home. As many of you know my parents got divorced back in the late spring/early summer. And I know people say that lives are different post mission, but mine is going to be very different. But enough about the negative, there has been so much going on out here and even ...
