The Leaves are Falling instead of Snow!

I am officially a resident of California but more on that later. This past week was my last week in the provo mtc. I am now in the beautiful town of Loomis California. But I will talk more about it later in the email.

Let's start with Monday 12/11, it was p-day in the MTC, we went to the temple and did an endowment session.  We then did our laundry and wrote my past weeks email. And we ate food that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Tuesday 12/12, we mainly just ate food and went to class. We had choir and preformed at the devotional where president Johnson, the general relief society president came and she talked about how we can be better missionaries. She focused alot on the blessing we receive from serving missions. After the devotional we "heart attacked" our classroom. So we basically put sticky notes all around our class that had uplifting phrases on it for our teacher's, since they did so much for us.

Wednesday 12/13, We had more class and talked alot cause for alot of peeps in my district, it was their last class with brother Johnson. We also had a departure meeting/devotional. And we went reviewed our mtc stay. At the end we sang "We'll bring the world his truth" and we all cried while singing it, because we are now missionaries and we are bringing people his truth. We then had lunch and more class. That was pretty much it, we also said goodbye to the sisters and the other elders leaving really early thursday morning. Oh and we got like 800 more missionaries in the mtc that day.

Thursday 12/14, last day in the mtc. It was kidna weird because their was only 6 of us elders from our district still there. In our first class we played kahoot, which was honestly a party. We then went and had lunch, while at lunch I ran into Blake Eddington. (A friend of mine). He is going to Louisiana for his mission. After lunch me and my comp then went and did ANOTHER thing of laundry, because we didn't wanna take dirty clothes to Cali. While the laundry went round and round I visited another friend, Cambria Felter. Who Is going to Alanta Georgia. We then packed and went to our very last class at the MTC😥. Then went to bed cause Friday was a super long day.

Friday 12/15, up for way to long..... Started our the day by helping one set of elders leave at 3:30, then helping another set leave at 4:30, then me and my companion left at 6:00 all in the morning. We took the UTA bus to the front runner and then to the airport. While at the airport I bought a Lego set and built it on the plane with sister Johnson from highland Utah who is also in the Roseville Mission. When we landed a lady behind us asked what my plans were with the Lego set and I said "idk yet" she asked me "would you be willing to give it to a 10 year old boy who just got adopted?" I immediately said yea and gave her the Lego set I just built. I then proceeded to meet my mission president. President and sister Basha. They are super cool, we then went to the mission home and filled out lots of paperwork. I also met my first comp/trainer Elder Koyle. He is from a small town outside of Rexburg Idaho. He's been out for 7 months and he's a ballroom dancer and super musical. When we went to our apartment, I got unpacked then went to sport night which is where the youth in the Loomis area come to the Church and play a different sport every week. We played Dodgeball and it was a blast.

Saturday 12/16, started out by going to the gym.... Yes I'm going to the gym to get big muscles. We then came back and studied for a while, then went and found people to go teach.

(Elder Bennett accidently sent the email before finishing it, but promised to add more next week and sent a few pictures!)

Mom's edit to add:  I had thought about Carson all morning on Friday when he was flying out to California.  A tender mercy happened when my good friend Paige texted me pictures of Carson at the aiport with his companion!  What were the chances that she would have seen him!  It brough tears to my eyes and comfort to my heart to see him ready to go and so happy!

When we talked to him on the phone today he showed us his apartment him and his new companion stay in, and it was a great setup and looked like he had settled in great.  He said the leaves fall everywhere and it rains, so no snow!  He also found it entertaining that a pine tree would grow right next to a palm tree in California.  He loves his area, which is known for its manderin oranges, and he said they are the best he has ever tasted!  Love him so much!
