You went to the gym at what time?!?
Hey what's up guys? This week was a pretty good week. We had some new people, I did 2 exchanges and I partied hard. This is a great email. I said I would check in about my invite last week. So how did praying go? Please sit back and relax and enjoy part 11? Of the Elder Bennett mission experience.
1/22- P-day for the Win!!! We started off with waking up and getting ready for the gym. We got all ready to go, while we were almost out of the door, I grabbed my phone and looked at the time and it said 1:33. I was like wait what? I looked at another clock and it also said 1:33. I looked at Elder Koyle and asked him do you know ow what time it is? He said “6:30 I think?” I said “Elder it's 1:30 in the morning, im going back to bed.” So we went back to bed. We then woke up at the actual 6:30 and went to the gym. After the gym, we came back and headed to the store. While at the store I bought a pan to make brownies in🤣. After the store we came back and I called the family. Which I love calling my family, it makes a great start to the week. We then went to Auburn and played chair soccer and volleyball with our whole zone. It was so much fun, I even took a break and jammed on the organ. After partying there, we came back to Loomis and went to our dinner appointment. We had some super good grilled chicken and we played a simple version of Risk. We then taught a lesson on prayer and came home. We came home and did some studies and went to bed. 1/23- Today was a day, I will just say that. We went to granite Bay in the morning for some medical stuff. After we went to a service project. We moved alot of boards and we burned some cardboard and wood. We then had a mentor call and I learned alot. We then to dinner and went to Roseville for another Dr. Appointment. We then came home and went to bed
1/24-We started off with the gym while wre the gym we started an exchange. I stayed here and Elder koyle went to the Loomis 2nd ward. I was with Elder Hobbs who is from Idaho. We did some studies and went to Lincoln for our district council. We came back and did some more studies. After we went and contacted a lot of people in the the ward. We talked to one of our new people named Michelle and we tried to schedule an appointment, didnt get one, but we are going to try next week to get one. We also went to some other peeps house, they are youth age. We invited them to come to mutal which they did, which is awesome. We then had dinner and went to mutal. That was it in a nutshell.
1/25- We started with the gym and ended our exchange. We then did daily planning and went to Lincoln for our zone conference. The conference went super well. We talked a lot about becoming better missionaries, and we learned a lot, so we are gonna do more awesome than ever before. We then came back and did a quick comp study and planned our MMI and a lesson we had with a lady named Neda who was recently baptized. We went to our dinner, and it was super good. We then went to our lesson with Neda. It went super well, and we planned another lesson and dinner for Wednesday, which is great. We then came back to our apartment and did our personal study. That's it for today, I just want to share something I loved from the Zone Conference. As we are busy, remember to love everyone and yourself. I know that if we keep remembering to love those around us, we will be blessed, and so will they.
1/26- Another awesome day with starting exchange #2. We did the morning routine of the gym and studies. After we went to our service project, we split wood and it was so hard for me to not run the splitter. But we split a lot of wood, after we went to a place called the rat-Trap. It's a fire sandwich place, we went with the guy who we were helping split wood. He has a tesla and on the way back lets just say we are glad there were no cops on the road.🤣🤣🤣 we then did our weekly planning and then we got a phone call saying we were doing an exchange that night and the next day. So we ended weekly planning and went back to the Apartment and I packed so i could go to Lincoln for the next 24 hours. After we went tracting on our way to our dinner appointment. We found a new guy named Rick, he is a super cool guy and I'm excited to teach him. We also talked to a lady who said that we were wasting time since our church is fake. But I kind of want to go back and try to convince her that the church is true. We then went to our dinner appointment and it was pretty good. And then it was sport night, we played Chair soccer and it was a blast to play. I may or may not have put a dent in a metal chair. But don't stress, I fixed it. I flipped the chair over and jumped on it, and it came right out (Phew). Then we started our exchange, I went to Lincoln and hung out with Elder Mallory who is a killer piano player out of St.George. The apartment is a 4 Elder apartment which is a blast. We played card games and had an Orbee Gun fight. Those things leave welts but it was worth it. We then called it a night.
1/27- A day in Lincoln, we had breakfast which consisted of eggs, rice and bell peppers. We then did our studies, and daily planning. We then had lunch which was Elder Mallory's famous stir-fry. It was so amazing. We then went to the church and Elder Mallory practiced his piano skills, and I was blown away. We then went to our first lesson of the day. The husband is in-active so we were teaching him and his wife was there and since we taught her, she's considered a new person, which is super awesome. We also helped them move a pool table inside they just bought. After we went to our 2nd lesson at the park. It was a fire lesson and that lesson also made the guy a new person. So that's 2 new people in a day. We then came back and a member brought us pizza which was fire. After dinner we did facebook work, and then let's just say that apartment turned into a war zone. Please hold as I explain,i started out with an Orbee Gun pointed at me, that turned into getting sprayed by a water bottle. That turned into 2 teenagers kind of wrestling and we broke a kickstand off a bike since me and another elder landed on the bike. That somehow turned into us getting simba’d. Elder koyle then showed back up to pick me up. You should have seen his face when he walked through the door. He was like “What happened to you guys?” We then went back to the apartment and called it a night.
1/28- Sunday!!! First it was 70° today, hate to brag but this is better then the cold. We started out with going to church and it was fire. We taught the lesson in priests quorum. We then went to the other wards sacrament. We had 1 new person and 1 new member at church, which is grand. We then went to their wards young men's. After we went to their MCM. We came home and made some tacos, they were alright but not the best. We had alot of meat so we invited the other Loomis elders over for some tacos. After we did our studies and went to our dinner. After dinner we went the youth fireside thing. It was pretty good, we then came home and went to bed. That's it for today, nice and short lesson.
So I hope you enjoyed this week of my mission. I want to leave you with a scripture, the scripture of the week is John 14:18, it says "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." I love this scripture, I won't lie but this week was a hard week. But I have been comforted by God and his love. Will you try to look for God's love this week?
