I broke a Member's Fridge 😬😬😬🤦♂️
What is up yall? This Week's email is an interesting one. It started out good then got shorter as I finished it. But the weather is super nice and the members are fantastic. I love all of them. Also California is super expensive, like oh my heavens I couldn't live here. But enjoy this Week's email 😝
2/4- Today was stake conference, it was super good. Bro. Maxwell the area president? Came and he spoke. The whole conference was about temple work which is great, because I love the temple. We then came home and had lunch. After our lunch we did our studies which is always great. After our studies we went tracting. It was super windy and cold. There was like 50+MPH winds, which is crazy but I've seen worse. It's funny because California falls apart when the weather goes boom. For example, powerlines tipped over, and trees were falling left and right. Like in utah, that doesn't happen very often. Anyway we had no dinner because the power went out. And can I just say, Loomis is kind of scary when the Power goes out. It just felt creepy and off. We came back to a massive tree in our driveway. The tree was like 3 ft in diameter, it was a massive pine tree that hit the dirt. We had to do some light off-roading to get in but we made it. Our Landlord's brought us a massive battery pack so we pulled the fridge out, and we plugged it in hoping to keep the food cold. We then called it a night, since we couldn't do much more.2/5- Another P-Day in the books. We woke up to the power still out. So I thought well normally stores have generators they run off of when the power is out. So we went to Walmart and well guess what? They didn't have a generator or anything, so we got no shopping done. The moral of the story is-if the power is out at your house in California, everywhere has no power. We then came back and helped the Jensens(members we live with). We helped them tackle the big tree that toppled over, we also had a massive Bonfire. We then went to Auburn and I called the family, they are doing super great. We hung out with the zone and played pickleball and a lot of different sports. The Zone Leaders even took our cards and got us Wendy's for lunch. We hung out up there for a while and went to a “Safeways” grocery store that was up there. I got like 3 important things because man, that place is expensive 🤑🤑🤑. We then came home and went to dinner. Our dinner appointment had power so that meant we also had power and we did, then it shut off for a bit, then it came back on and has stayed on ever since. (Knock on wood 🪵) we wrote in our journals and went to bed.
2/6- We started off with the gym and gaining muscle 💪. We then got ready, and did the normal morning routine. We then started a micro exchange, since Elder Koyle and Elder Preston had a training. I hung out with Elder Hobbs and we talked to some people, I even talked to some landscapers who were on their lunch break, they were super cool dudes. One of the houses we went to, the guy talked to us through the Ring Doorbell. But the funny thing is, he was inside the house. We could hear him talking inside🤣🤦♂️. The other elders came back and we had our lunch break. After our lunch break we had a lesson with an old lady who was super funny. We then went tracting with Elder Johnson who is a service missionary. He is also my personal delivery man. He brings me all my packages from the mission office, since he's down there a lot. We talked to some really cool people. One guy gave us Dr.Pepper in shot cans, IFYKYK🤣. We then came home and went to our dinner appointment and it was fire. We then came back and finished up the night with some FaceBook work and hit the hay.
2/7- Another day in the books, we started out the day by hitting the gym and getting big 💪. After the gym, we finished planning our District Council. I helped Elder Koyle with it since hes the District leader. We did it on comp unity, which was great because it helped us become more united as a companionship. After we went to Auburn and met up with the zone. And we did our district council, it went super well and the spirit was there which is great! After our district council we went to Wendy's and grabbed food because we forgot food Whoops😬🤣. We came back to the Church and we played a zone wide game of “Smurf”. After I went and played the organ. While I was playing the organ, the STL Sister parsons walked in and said “You play the Organ? I was like heck ya! And Elder picanco was there too and he said “He also plays the piano, sings, and dances.” So that only means one thing now, IM SCREWED. The STL (Sister Training Leader) now knows that i play the piano and Organ so here comes playing at Zone Conferences🤦♂️🤣. We then headed home and went to a fire lesson with now New People. We knocked some more doors and had doors slammed in our faces. The place where we knocked were not in the mood to see our cute faces at their door. We then had dinner and went to young men's and played Pickleball and hung out with them. After we came home and went to bed because I was exhausted.
2/8- Today we did lots of service, we pulled tons of weeds and we got extremely dirty. We really didn't to much, just lots of service and dirty work. We also tracted some houses and no interest.
2/9-Today was a pretty decent day, and we went to the gym. But man, after I was a sore missionary. We did our morning routine, and then we went tracting and no crazy stories for that. We did our weekly planning and this upcoming week is going to be great. We also played some pickleball and I lost but that's okay. We also set up for our sport night. We then went to our dinner appointment, we had waffles and they were on fire. We then had our sportnight and like nobody showed up. We came home and went to bed.
2/10- Today was a day full of tracting, we tracked like 8 miles of a massive neighborhood. We didn't get anywhere but that's totally okay. We then went to our dinner appointment and I Broke the Fridge 🤣😬🤦♂️. I was filling up cups with crushed Ice and it was going good, then the ice machine kept grinding ice. And I was like ummm it's not stopping. Then next thing I know the flap on the Ice machine flips open and Ice went everywhere. Like EVERYWHERE, the kitchen, dining room and even in the family room. So that was fun. We had homemade thin crust pizzas they were super good. One was a breakfast pizza and there was a Pistachio pizza but it wasn't my favorite. We came home and went to bed.
2/11-Today was Fast Sunday and we had lots of church meetings. We did a little bit of tracting and had dinner with some members. We came home and did our nightly routine. And went to bed
I know that this email was kind of short, but this week flew by and we did mostly tracting. I hope y'all are doing good. And peace out see you on the next one. Also, let me know if you would like to get daily pictures. There is a lot more pictures on my Google photos then I send out.
