T minus 18 months till we out of California!!!!
Howdy! Welcome back to another episode of my Shenanigans in California. I hit 6 months this week, I also had a zone conference. This week was good with lots of crazy service projects. Grab some brownies and your soda and let's get into this email.
5/20- 6 MONTHS, that's right boys. Your guy Elder Bennett has been out for 6 months!!!!!!!!! I have been out for ¼ of my mission. So here is how today/P-day went. We woke up, worked out and got ready for the day. We then went shopping, then came home and changed into our p-day clothes. We then cleaned the apartment, and while cleaning the apartment I broke half of the electrical system. Please hold as I explain what happened, I was cleaning the bathroom. And while I was cleaning the bathroom, I was wiping down the light fixture and something moved On it that tripped the breaker. So I reset the breaker and flipped on the light switch again and it turned on for a sec then pooped and turned off. And then the light switch stayed on and wouldn't turn off. So long story short, half of the apartment has no power now. We went to the church building, I called the family and played chair soccer with the zone. It was honestly super lit. We came home, had dinner, and got things wrapped up for the day.
5/21- Honestly nothing crazy happened today. But this morning, Elder Heppler woke up and said his prayer, I said mine. Then I walked out of the room. Well time passed and Elder Heppler was still in the room. Well long story short, he fell back asleep while saying his morning prayers. We then got ready, had our studies, then lunch. We then went and made tons of contacts. We then went to dinner numero uno. It was at Sister Collins house, she had some other ward members over so it was super fun. We then left her house and biked over to dinner numero dos. It was with the Chamberlain family, and they are an awesome super musical family. We then came home, did out nightly routine and went to bed.
5/22- Again nothing crazy happened, we had district council which was super awesome. After that, we went to a service project. This service project was extreme to say the least. We installed 80ft of french drain in a lady's backyard. It was a nightmare and a half, the lady’s yard had a lot of random stuff all around the yard so it was just super tight to work in. But we got it done and it was kind of fun. We then came home and had dinner with a lit family then called it a night
5/23- We didn't do much, all we did was lots and Lot's of contacts along with weekly planning. That's it pretty much. We then had dinner at Heather's and then went home.
5/24- Zone Conference round 4. We had a zone conference in Rocklin and it was awesome. It was about Joseph Smith. And I learned so much and I'm fired up and ready to work more and even harder. I led the music for it and I was able to talk to some of my favorite missionaries. But the highlight of my day was when someone asked if I Was trying to be the next AP because I had a lot of good spiritual input. We also had a guest speaker and he had 1/5000 copies of the original BOOK OF MORMON. He was super lit, he is Sister Basha (Mission president wife) brother in law. He was super nice and awesome. I was also able to play the organ at the end when the zone conference ended. We came home, took a nap then had dinner and made some phone calls then went to bed.
5/25- SERVICE FOR THE W!!!! Today was just lots of service, we cleaned the church and then we went to another member's house and did some yard work. We then had tri tip at that member's house. We then did some more yard work at another member's house. We then went to dinner and then called it a night.
5/26- Church, we went to church and our meetings, we then came home and had lunch. We did our studies. Then phone contacts, and finished weekly planning. That is it basically.
