Temple Trip takes the W

 Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Welcome back to ELDER BENNETT SHENANIGANS. Today's episode is brought to you by PEPSI and your host is the legend himself, ELDER BENNETT. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Howdy, what's up guys. I first wanna start out by saying happy mothers day to all the wonderful moms out there, including mine. Yall are the best moms ever, keep up the good work and full send. Now that the holiday is over let's talk about this super fast/crazy spiritual week.

⅚- P-Day, we started off with shopping, as we were walking into the store. A guy walked in behind us and said that we were a bunch of idiots and all this and that and the other. Only if he knew the whole truth about the church. We then came back to our apartment and I called my dad and had some fire breakfast. We then went to the church and chilled, we played spoons which got intense super fast. I also played the organ and called my family some more. We then all decided to go to an in and out burger for lunch. It was lit, while we were there, the other Zone “Rockville” (Roseville and Rocklin stakes) came as well. It was honestly not planned, but it was lit because I got to see some of my favorite missionaries and some that were in my zone when I was in Loomis. We came back to church and we had a Mario kart race thing with our RC CARS. We just chilled after that, lit p-day. We came home and our ZLS didn't need there car so we took it for the night and made some fire member contacts in the WESTWOOD PARK WARD. We came home then called it a night.

5/7- Today was a day full of service, we started out by going to Sister Collins house and we mowed her neighbors side yard down. It was like 5 feet tall, it was crazy but fun. We then went to the church and dropped off our bikes, then Brian took us over to Sister Smith's house and pulled weeds for he'd, she made us meatloaf again which was super sweet. After that project, Brian took us to Brother LLUENS house in the Westwood Ward. We mowed down his backyard. It was a blast, he also fed us dinner. We then went to the church to hang out with the young men. I looked in the mirrior at the church and saw that I was super sunburnt from all my hard labor, but that's okay because I worked my butt Off and helped people out today. We then came home and called it a night.

⅝- Another DC in the books, we woke up and did our studies. We then went to District council, and we learned a lot about how to help people understand the BOM after they try to decline or bash with us. We then had lunch and then came back home and made some fire contacts. We also had a fire lesson with a guy named NEPHI who wants to come back to the Church. We then had dinner and went to the church to teach the WestWood youth about bike repair since bikes our are main mode of transportation. It was awesome, also a kid wanted to race around the parking lot, and so we did. But little did he know that I use to race mountain bikes. So I creamed him, it was blast tho. We came back home and I journaled then went to bed.

5/9- WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE!!!! We started off by going to the temple. We just did Baptisms, but it was super awesome. We had Brian Carroll with us along with Sister Collins. Sister Collins hasn't been to the temple in a long while, so it was super cool to take her with us. One thing that stuck out to me was when I was being a witness, I felt like I was the person who was getting baptized for and watching my work be done. It was so awesome to feel that way and to think about it that way. After we did Baptisms, we all spent a lot of time on the temple grounds and feeling the spirit. I felt the spirit so much there, more then average. We then all went and got ice cream at a place called HANDLES. It was pretty good, and not bad for prices. Then we went to the ONLY Desert Book in all of Northern California. It's in a town called FAIR OAKS. I needed some things from there, and I was getting ready to pay for my stuff, the cashier said “Have a good day 😊” I said “Don't I need to pay for this?” She said “Another customer before yall paid for your stuff” 🫠🥹 my heart melted, somebody payed for things that I easily could have payed for. People are so nice, even though people don't like us missionaries, it's always a good reminder that we are loved. We then came home, did our studies. We then went to an inactive members house for dinner. It was lit, and they were super nice people. We came home and went to bed early. 

5/10- Another amazing Friday in the books, we didn't do much besides studies, contacts, weekly planning and dinner. We also saw a car crash happen right in front of the church. That was lit, other then that don't wanna bore you with the lame details.

5/11 "Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for sunday!” Or I guess it's a great day because we did lots of service. We started out early with starting our service projects at 6:45 am. We went to the church and helped the youth with setting up, then helping them with a yardsale and a car wash. And then around 9:30, we went to a member's house and helped them move. We then came back and helped the youth some more. We then went home and did our studies. After our studies we went to do 2 lesson kind of things then off to making contacts. It was honestly so good of a day. 

5/12- Church and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY. It was a good day, went to church and enjoyed that. We then went and visited a lady who signed up to meet with us. She's from Romania and is the sweetest Romanian lady I have ever met. We then went to Sister Collins house for a linner. We then came home, I called my mom then went to bed. That's it basically.

  Howdy yall, this week was an insane week to say the least. The title of this email goes with about everyday this week. So throw on your boots 👢, and get ready for the most chaotic week of my mission.  So on Monday 6/24, we started out our normal P-day like we always do. We went shopping and did some apartment cleaning. We then went to the church to chill, when we got there, I remembered that my bike still was broken. If yall remember what happened 2 weeks ago when the pedal fell off, y’all will remember that I put it back on. Well the pedal still wasn't 100% good, and in fact I had to stop constantly and tighten it back up. So we borrowed the Zone leader's truck, grabbed the bike and took it to the shop. The dude at the shop was kind of a rude dude. But long story short, he gave us a discount because we were missionaries and he fixed it. Now here's where our day goes absurd real fast.   This week was a good week, lots of things happened. Enjoy the read, I also tried to keep it short. So enjoy this Week's email. 3/18- Today was my first p-day in Antelope. We started off with going to the other elders apartment since it's in the next building over. We live in an apartment complex. We hung out with then and then went shopping. We came home and I called the family. We then went to the massive church. This building has 2 of everything, besides 2 gyms and 2 baptismal fonts. We played pickleball and I played the piano and hung out. We then went to another building where the zone was at. We got there and I played the organ and piano a lot. We came home and changed and headed to our dinner. On the way to dinner some dude flipped us off and said FU Mormons!!! Let's just say he was not happy to see 2 good looking missionaries on the roads in Antelope. We got to our dinner appointment and we had dinner with my favorite member in this area.          Hey what's up guys? This week was a pretty good week. We had some new people, I did 2 exchanges and I partied hard. This is a great email. I said I would check in about my invite last week. So how did praying go? Please sit back and relax and enjoy part 11? Of the Elder Bennett mission experience.       1/22- P-day for the Win!!! We started off with waking up and getting ready for the gym. We got all ready to go, while we were almost out of the door, I grabbed my phone and looked at the time and it said 1:33. I was like wait what? I looked at another clock and it also said 1:33. I looked at Elder Koyle and asked him do you know ow what time it is? He said “6:30 I think?” I said “Elder it's 1:30 in the morning, im going back to bed.” So we went back to bed. We then woke up at the actual 6:30 and went to the gym.
