Holy Bonkers it's hot 🔥 🥵

Howdy yall, welcome back to another weekly shenanigan review. I'm your host Elder Bennett. This week was super hot, we are in a heat wave so this whole week we have had days between 104°-115° so it's pretty toasty. But this week was a week full for crazy adventures, so sit back, enjoy the A.C and take a read.

7/1- P-day!!! Well honestly, today wasn't as crazy as last p-day. We started out with going to the gym, and just all yall ladies know. I'm getting some huge muscles and I'm getting ripped 🤣. We then went shopping and then came home, then we decided to go to the mission office because we needed a few things. So we went to the mission office and chatted with the office missionaries and got the things we needed like keys to another apartment in the same complex so we get some stuff out of it. (That part comes later in today's review). We then went to the stake center, chilled and called the family. At the end of our p-day hours, we went and washed the car since we had Zone Conference tomorrow. So we went to the good Ole quick quack car wash. Then we got gas and came home. We did some studies and then at 9, the fun happened. We went over to the old apartment and grabbed things that we needed out of there. We exchangedo microwaves, because ours was garbage and we got some other cool things. We then walked back across the street to ours and then we called it a night.

Tuesday 7/2- ZONE CONFERENCE!!! Today we had zone conference up in Auburn, and to get there you drive through Loomis (my first area). Yall I miss that place so bad, as we were driving through it so many memories were coming to me. I would absolutely love to go to Loomis ❤️. Anyway, zone conference was really good. We talked a lot about becoming more like Jesus. But overall it was a blast, especially to see all my missionary friends. And yall are probably wondering if I led the music again for this one, well hate to break it for you but I didn't. 😢 But I will admit it was nice to not have to do anything besides sing my favorite hymns. While at zone conference we also found out that Oroville is on fire. There is a massive wildfire up there, but don't stress, i'm about 1.5 hours away. We then left zone conference and came home. We then did our studies, went to a member's house for dinner. Came home, did facebook work and called it a night.

On Wednesday 7/3 We started out the day with studies, then we went to District Council. It was super good, we talked about the spirit and how to use it to help others. We then had some lunch, then I played on the organ. We then drove home and did some more additional study. We then went tracting which is super awesome because we had a miracle happen. So we went to the triple decker apartment complex, because we had a lesson with a lady. So we knocked on her door, and she answered and said, “Yall, don't come back because I ain't interested!” So we left, we were walking back to the car to leave and Elder Anderson remembered that we had a Persian Book Of Mormon that needed to be delivered to a family in that complex. So we grabbed it and we kind of made a note of the apartment number when we found the family the first time. We then went to the apartment number we had and they didn't answer, so we decided to try the building next to it. And we knocked at the door and nobody answered. So we were getting discouraged because we couldn't find the apartment or they just weren't home. But on the way back to the car, Elder Anderson said “Hey Elder, let's go try this building on the other side to the first building we tried.” So we walked over there, and while we were walking over. We noticed that there were lots of people standing outside this apartment. But sure enough that was the apartment we were looking for. We continued to walk past, and we stopped for a minute to think on what we shall do. I said “Elder, all those guys just left, let's go knock it”. So we did that, we knocked and they answered and their daughter remembered us. We gave them the Persian BOOK OF MORMON. And then they gave us a whole bunch of fresh cut fruit. So we talked with them before we left, and as we were about to leave. Her husband got home from work, and we talked to him for like 45 minutes and he is super interested so hopefully things will work out. But yall God works in awesome mysterious ways. We then tracted a tad bit more, then we came home and made some dinner. We did facebook work then called it a night.

On the 4th of July 🇺🇸🦅🤠, we woke up and did our studies. We then went to the church, and videod me playing the National Anthem on the Organ. That took a minute but we got it pretty mint. We then came home and had some lunch because we were hungry. We then went over to manjinders house. I don't remember if I've told you about him or not, if I have I'm sorry because I'm about to tell y'all again. So Maninjder is an Indian guy, and he has been meeting with the missionaries for the past couple of months. Super awesome dude, so we went to his house to help him build a bench press. He's super funny because he said “I got this bench press because I went to the lake the other day, and I swam out to this floating island thing. And on this floating island we're a bunch of hot Ukranian girls. But by the time I got out there, I was so weak I had to ask for help to get on the mat. And that hurt my manliness. So I got this so I can get bigger”. 😂😂😂😂😂 we chuckled and I thought, oh manjinder. So I (I say I not we because they chatted and they were like “Elder Bennett your a mechanic so we are just going to stand back and watch”). Built this bench press for him, then we talked about life and how the gospel can help us when we struggle. Then I decided to put him on date. Yep, Elder Bennett finally put someone on date. We then left his house and came home. We called the families because it's a holiday and we can 😂. We then went to our dinner and we had some amazing tri-tip. We hung with them for awhile then we came home, drank some dr.pepper and called it a night after blowing some confetti up. 🤠

Now it was time to party, because on Friday 7/5- we had a huge Mission Wide party in Granite Bay. Now, your probably wondering why we had a huge party. Well the social media team gave us this huge challenge over the past few months. We had to complete a series of events like adding a certain amount of people and messaging them. Anyway, if you completed the challenge you were able to dunk our mission president in a dunk tank. So of course I wanted to Dunk President Basha, so I completed the “Social Media Olympics”. I got the chance to throw and I missed both shots, so I went up after and just pushed the button. 😂😂😂 Because hey, I put a lot of work in to get nothing out of it. So we had the party, and it was on the hottest day of the week. It was like 115° which is super duper hot. But it was a blast to see other missionaries and talk to missionaries I have served around before in the past. Super lit party, and that took all day. We got home and did our studies then called it a night and 9:15 because we were so tired.

Now with Saturday 7/6- We woke up and decided to do morning tracting. So we first did our studies then we went tracting from like 9:30-12. And even though it was nice and toasty, we made a lot of awesome positive contacts. We even found a new person which is always awesome. We then came home and did more studies and had lunch. We then went tracting more, but nobody was interested in the church which was honestly kind of sad. But we went to dinner at a really good pizza restaurant called Original Al's. We went with the Tripps who are from Grantsville Utah, and they are office missionaries in the mission. They are super awesome and I love them so much. We came home and did Facebook work, then we called it a night.

Now Sunday 7/7- was quite the day honestly😂. So we woke up and daily planned at 6:45. So that was a bit odd, but then we showered and did our personal study. We then drove to church, and I did the prelude music because the Bishop gave me full permission to play whenever I wanted to. So I did that, then like 5 before the meeting started. The first counselor in the bishopric came up and said “Elder Bennett, can you lead the music?” Of course I said yes. But little did I know that the 3 songs we would sing are the 3 rarest songs in the whole Hymn Book. So we get to the first song, and long story short, missed the whole intro and nobody knew what was happening. So it was just super rough, and then the other 2 were okay, but not the best. I also bore my testimony, and I told the congregation that us missionaries were starting to go hungry and to sign up and feed us. Because basically our meal Calendar has been super empty lately. But the rest of the church was really good. We then made some awesome member contacts. One lady we visited was a lady named Jeffra, she's an inactive sister and she's so awesome. We made some more visits, then tracted, but nobody would answer so we scratched that idea off the board. We did some facebook work instead. We then went to dinner and it was awesome. We then came home and did more studying then we called it a night.

So, this week was a week. With lots of fun things happening. It was super hot but the work don't stop when it's hot. I love yall so much and I hope yall have a great week. Enjoy the pictures
