Cops ๐Ÿ‘ฎ‍♂️ and Bashers ❌️

Howdy yall, welcome back to your favorite email to read. I hope yall had an awesome week and worked/partied hard because I sure did. So sit back, Crack a DR.PEPPER, and enjoy this weeks report of Elder Bennetts Shenanigans.

So on Monday we just had a normal P-Day, I went and got new Guitar strings, and the dude at the Guitar store was super nice. He helped me get what I needed since I never owned a guitar. We then just hung out at the Roseville stake center and played soccer and Volleyball. I also called the family and sent out my voice messages/texts to some people back home. (Sorry about not responding to everyone, I'm goin to be better at that.) Anyway we came home and then went tracting and then had dinner. We wrapped up the day with doing my nightly DL routine. We then called it a night

Tuesday the 13th, well today we basically had an exchange with the Zone Leader's. It was okay, a harder exchange but we survived. We went to a service project and this is where the cops come in. So we get to the exchange early and we were just hanging out with Elder Skidmore and Taylor. We were in service clothes, and just chilling. Then a cop drove by, flipped around. Turned on his lights and got out of his car. He asked what we were doing, and we told him. He said okay then left, so moral of the story some old lady called the cops because she thought we were ditching school. Anyway, we spent the rest of the day tracting and making contacts. We stopped by the Clawson's house and they said they would have dinner ready for us in 30 minutes. So we said okay since we didn't have a dinner. We then decided to go make a contact which was 20 minutes away. We made the trip in 10 minutes and so we were able to have dinner at the Clawsons. They were gone, but they had street tacos for us. (Pic Below) We then made more contacts then went home and had our actual dinner hour then called it a day.

Wednesday the 14th, we woke up and did our studies then went to our District Council. We had the Institute director from Sierra College come and talk to us about being better missionaries. And he went into alot of deep doctrine. And to be honest I didn't quite understand what we was saying but that's okay. We then came home and did more contacts and went tracting. We had dinner at the Frosts house and then we came home and called it a night.

On Thursday the 15th. We went to the temple with our Bishop and his wife. It was awesome, super spiritual and I really felt the spirit and received some answers to questions I had. We then went to 5 guys for lunch after. We made it home, did our studies. Then we went finding. Nobody was interested but that's okay, we then had a lesson with Gregory. And it was so awesome, he really is learning and making progress. We then made some more contacts and went tracting. We then went home and had dinner then we called it a night.

Friday 8/16- We had Zone conference today, it was also part of the Mission Tour and so we had 2 General Authorities from the Quorum of the 70. ELDER Hamilton and a brand new member of the 70. I got to sit on the stand with them since I was leading the music. I also got to shake their hands. It was super cool, it was also the same hand that Elder Hamilton shook President Nelson's hand. So that's always cool. But the Zone conference was awesome and we learned alot about faith and how to be better missionaries. We then came home and went tracting after a short nap because we were tired. We came home and did dinner and hit the hay.

Saturday 8/17- We woke up and went tracting and we ran into a Basher. Now she is what is called a Messianic Jew. So basically 100% Jewish and 100% Christian. I don't know how it works, but anyway she wasn't nice and she told us that we were fake. She also whipped out scriptures that talk about adding to the Bible. Anyway it made no sense to her and she was not nice. And I was excited to leave. We then came home and had lunch, did studies, then started a micro Exchange with Elder Skidmore and Taylor. Basically Elder Skidmore and I had a District Leader zoom call. It was basically just training on how to be better DL's. We then to leave to go tracting and Skidmore's gear Cassette on his bike fell apart so after some redneck ingenuity we got it back together then we went tracting. And we met this guy named John, and we chatted about family history with him for like an hour and we used Family search to find his ancestors. We then went home and called it a night.

Sunday 8/18- We woke up, did our p-study, then went to church. I did the Prelude music on the organ and it was a blast. We then went to youth Sunday school and while we were there, 2 adults grabbed Macgregor and I. We walked into the hallway with them. And we met a lady and her granddaughter who wanted to learn about Jesus Christ. They literally just showed up because they wanted to learn. And so it was cool, they also wanted a children's book about Jesus. So we looked in the Mission Office and we didn't have anything. So we got there info and gave it to the missionaries in Antelope since that's where they live. Anyway super cool experience. We had comp study and weekly planning. We then went to the Pinneys house for dinner. We then went to the Packers house since there daughter leaves next week on her mission so they were doing a farewell party. We came home and had a zoom meeting, then we went to bed.

Anywho, that's my week in a nutshell. Hope you had an awesome week, enjoy the pictures and see you next week. P.s love you so much, don't give up. ❤️๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™
