District Leader-An email from President Basha

 24 Jul 2024

Dear Sister Bennett,

I am pleased to inform you that I have assigned Elder Carson Bennett to serve as a District Leader in the California Roseville Mission. District Leaders are close to the other missionaries and can interact with them frequently; therefore, they fulfill a fundamental role in the success of the mission and of the missionaries. The following is a partial list of the responsibilities of a District Leader:

1. Sets an example for all missionaries in his district through his study of the scriptures and the gospel, obedience, hard work, proselyting skills, and other aspects of missionary work.

2. Carries a full proselyting load in his assigned area and works with faith and diligence to accomplish his missionary purpose. He strives to regularly baptize.

3. Supervises, serves, teaches, and inspires missionaries in his district.

4. Plans and conducts weekly district meetings.

5. Conducts companion exchanges with the missionaries in his district.

6. Interviews baptismal candidates.

7. Looks after the well-being of the missionaries in his district.

8. Demonstrates effective planning.

9. Works with local priesthood leaders and members.

I love and appreciate his devoted service to the Lord. I am grateful for your continued prayers on his behalf and for all missionaries.

Sincerely,

President Edward Basha
