Man what a week it was!
Howdy Y'all! This week was an awesome week that flew by like an F-35 passing overhead. It was there then it was gone. We had a blast going on crazy adventures, also Elder Kahailaii was sick for the past few days so we did lots of editing. So I'm just going to give you a rundown of the crazy shenanigans that happened, so without further ado. Enjoy this week's report of Elder Bennett Shenanigans in Northern California.
So on Tuesday we went up to Yuba city to help the Spanish sisters do an interview. It was pretty good, and the guy they were interviewing was super funny. He was cracking jokes left and right, you can watch it when it comes out here soon. But it’s all in Spanish, so if you know Spanish you can understand it. If not, don't stress just take my word for it. It was funny! We then drove up too Oroville, which was about 30 minutes north of Yuba. We met up with a super musical missionary, Elder Garrison. Now, Elder Garrison can shred the guitar like nobody else. He did a super awesome rendition of a song, (I don't remember what song it was, but it was super good.) He wanted to do the actual video part in the mountains. So we drove an hour up a super cool/steep mountain. It was like the road up to Inspiration Point and the North Ogden divide put together, just paved. It was a super awesome road and on top of this mountain was a complete town, I ain't kidding you. It was really weird to see a full town on top of this mountain. We shot the video and then we looked at the time and it was 5:15, and we had a meeting at the Mission President's house at 7. And so we had to go, since we were 1.5 hours away from his house. So we left and went straight to our meeting. After our meeting got over at 9:15 pm, we went straight to In-Out Burger because we were super hungry. And while we were there, these 2 dudes asked us about our church. So we told them and they were super lit people, everytime I have gone to In-Out Burger on my mission. I always have super cool conversations with people about the church. Anyway, we made it home and had dinner. Then we went straight to bed, because we were super tired.
Another awesome/crazy thing that happened this week is that we got a couch! Now, are we supposed to have it? No not really, but do we? Absolutely!!! So here's the story behind the couch shenanigans. So on Thursday we went to the mission office to grab things and to shoot a video. Now the mission office has a room that is specifically social media. So there are couches and it's the nicest room. We use the room for shooting interviews, and for whatever else we want to do. Well as we are chilling doing video stuff, I go “Man this is a super nice comfy couch.” And Elder Stewart goes “ya, it's really nice but the Bashas don't like it.” Also came to find out the Bashas also didn't want it anymore. So us, being creative and a lil Redneck. We shoved it into the minivan with all 4 of us. And to our surprise, it fit with all of our camera stuff as well. We then drove back to the apartment, and we carried this couch up 3 stories. Now the staircase was steep and really narrow. So it was a battle to get it up there, but we were determined to get it up there. And we did, we then took out the old floral couch we had. Then we hauled that couch down the stairs and into the van. We then drove over to another Elders apartment to give them the old floral couch. So we dropped it off, and then they sweet talked us into helping them set up their new apartment. So we spent the rest of the night building furniture and putting together an apartment. We then went home and put our apartment back together. Then we went to bed, make sure you look at the pictures of the couch shenanigans.
Well, that's basically the major things that happened. Like I said, Elder Kahaialii was sick so we just did lots of video editing. I hope yall have an awesome week, yall are amazing. Have an awesome week and Full Send and remember there is also a cold Dr. Pepper calling your name. Anyway, peace out and see you next week.
